Chicago Sports Watch

I thought I’d combine the reporting of both the Cubs and Bears and Oops (!) the White Sox, just to be fair.

Unfortunately all three teams lost Sunday. The Cubs dropped out of first place, losing to the Pirates 10-5. They have had a rough go of it lately. It’s starting to look like one of their September Swoons, which has haunted them for so many years. They have a chance to change their luck, when they play a make- up game at home against the St. Louis Cardinals this after noon. They had better be good: The Cards are in the race, also and have been playing better of late.

The Bears lost to the San Diego Chargers in football Sunday 14-3. The defense was good, but the offense sputtered and therefore they lost a tough battle. Too many turnovers and spotty play by their quarterback was the key to their loss. They had better find an offense quick, if they want to get back to the Super Bowl.

Oh Yea! The White Sox lost again. They have been out of the picture all summer so they are easy to forget. I know that they won the World Series in 2005, but what are they doing for you now.

Ah! Sports in Chicago! It’s the only game in town, other than politics.
